Shakti Pumps Secures Empanelment for 25000 Off-Grid Solar Pumps from MSEDCL
Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has been empanelled by MSEDCL to supply and install 25,000 off-grid DC solar water pumping systems worth INR 754.30 crore under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Scheme in Maharashtra.

Energy-efficient pumps and motors manufacturer Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. (SPIL) announced that the company has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for 25,000 standalone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS).
The pumps collectively worth INR 754.30 Crores (inclusive of GST) are to be installed across Maharashtra under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Scheme.
“Under this Letter of Empanelment from MSEDCL, the company will receive a series of orders from MSEDCL over the next one year that will cumulatively amount to 25,000 pumps with a total value of INR 754.30 crore. The stipulated timeline of 60 days for the execution of these orders will commence from the date each work order is issued,” shared the company in a statement.
Commenting on the development, Dinesh Patidar, Chairman, Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. said, “We are delighted to have received the Letter of Empanelment for 25,000 pumps from MSEDCL, a development which would significantly bolster our robust order book position. This is the second major Letter of Empanelment we have received from the Government of Maharashtra during the past year, following the initial Letter of Empanelment for 50,000 pumps.”
He further asserted that this achievement reinforces the company’s position as a prominent player in the solar pumping system in Maharashtra. “We remain committed to securing additional orders and ensuring their prompt execution,” he said.
