SGEL Invites Bids for Land Acquisition for 500 MW Solar Project

The company seeks to purchase or lease up to 2000 acres of land near the Bikaner-IV Pooling Station, with parcels of at least 400 acres each, located within 20 to 25 kilometres of the station.

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has issued a tender for acquiring land in Rajasthan to establish a 500 MW solar power project. The company seeks to purchase or lease up to 2000 acres of land near the Bikaner-IV Pooling Station, with parcels of at least 400 acres each, located within 20 to 25 kilometres of the station.

In addition to land acquisition, the project scope includes land development activities, such as constructing fencing and entry gates. Detailed specifications are provided in the tender document.

The tender document is available for download until September 2, 2024. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 20, 2024, and bids must be submitted by September 3, 2024. Techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day, while the last date for hard copy submission is September 13, 2024. The date and time of the price bid opening will be communicated to qualified bidders.

The non-refundable cost of the tender document is INR 5000 plus 18 percent GST. Bid security amounts vary depending on the size of the land parcel, ranging from INR 40 lakhs for 400 acres to INR 2 crores for 2000 acres.

Bids are invited from Indian citizens or entities registered in India, with joint ventures and consortiums excluded from participation. 

The detailed Tender/Bid Document will be available on the e-tendering portal, the SJVN, and the CPP portals. Any amendments to the Tender document will also be issued on these portals.
