Servotech Power Systems Ltd (SPSL)has announced a significant partnership with CCS2 (Combined Charging System) to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities and accelerate the growth of the Indian electric vehicle (EV) industry.
The collaboration focuses on the production of high-quality onboard chargers for electric vehicles, emphasizing the importance of 'Make in India.'
Onboard chargers, designed to be compact and lightweight, are intended for direct mounting on two-, three-, and four-wheelers, eliminating the need for a separate charging unit.
This development aligns with the global shift towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation solutions.
Raman Bhatia, Managing Director of Servotech Power Systems, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "The company will now be manufacturing high-quality onboard chargers. This development strengthens our commitment towards making Make in India."
Notably, in August, Servotech Power Systems inked an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government to establish an EV charger manufacturing facility in the state.
This significant investment of INR 300 crore is in line with the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022, reflecting the company's dedication to bolstering the Indian EV ecosystem.
The partnership between Servotech Power Systems and CCS2 signifies a promising step forward in the quest for self-reliance in EV manufacturing and a cleaner, greener future for India's automotive industry.
