Servotech Power Systems, a prominent manufacturer specializing in electric vehicle (EV) chargers and solar solutions, has announced the submission of two patents for pioneering energy management technologies.

These innovations are designed to facilitate the optimisation of grid services through battery energy storage systems (BESS) and enhance the effective utilization of renewable energy sources, thereby fostering a transition to sustainable energy practices.

The first patent, titled ‘System and Method for Controlling Load Shifting by Third Party,’ focuses on a system and method that empowers third-party entities, such as utilities or aggregators, to regulate load shifting within a BESS. This technology allows for the optimisation of BESS assets to provide grid services efficiently.

The second patent, titled ‘System and Method for Effective Energy Channelisation from a Renewable Energy Source,’ pertains to a system and method that optimally channels energy from renewable sources like solar or wind into a BESS.

This ensures that renewable energy is stored in the BESS during the most valuable periods. Both technologies have broad applicability, encompassing fields like solar energy and electric vehicle charging systems.

These groundbreaking technologies, currently under patent application, reflect Servotech Power System’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy practices and fostering innovation. Arun Handa, Chief Technology Officer at Servotech Power Systems Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about these patents, emphasizing their significant contribution to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

Recently, Servotech signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with IIT Roorkee for the development of rectifier units for CCS2 chargers and onboard EV chargers for two, three, and four-wheelers, further underscoring the company's dedication to technological advancement in the electric vehicle and clean energy sectors.
