Senvion India has announced that its 3.1M130 wind turbine is listed in the MNRE's Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) issued in April 2025 and will start grid-connected commercial installations across the country.

The 3.1M130, based on the proven 2XM architecture, 130-metre rotor, and advanced control systems, is designed for pad constraint sites where Senvion has to meet MW but has limited locations. 3.1M130 is designed, proto-tested, and certified in India, with over 80 percent of the components manufactured locally.

Amit Kansal, CEO & MD of Senvion India, said, "Though 3.1M130 is an upgrade of our 2xM platform, it needed a full design overhaul and testing to ensure it delivers the power and AEP it is rated for. We are confident that it will meet the demand of our customers for pad constraint projects in India."

"A quick launch of 3.1M130 proves that the Senvion Engineering team will continue to meet new challenges in the wind industry in India and globally,” added Kansal.

Since its establishment, Senvion has been actively involved in the development and installation of wind energy projects across the country, crossing 1 GW of commissioned wind turbine generators (WTGs). The company has successfully installed its 120 and 130-meter rotor turbines in India, some of the finest technologies for the Indian wind regime.
