SEG Solar and Meike Solar Ink MoU for PV Cell Raw Material Supply

The MoU is to install an all-inclusive business alliance between the two companies, with intended on the delivery of high-quality silicon ingots and wafers from Meike Solar to SEG’s photovoltaic cell manufacturing location in Southeast Asia.
The firm has invested in a 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas which is meant for the planned step in measures to localize US manufacturing.
This alliance with Meike Solar will facilitate assistance for SEG’s further deployment in the solar industry chain in Southeast Asia, while ascertaining top-quality products from US-based module amenities.
The alliance between SEG and Meike Solar is likely to contribute towards giving more cost-effective and competitive products and services to consumers through the research and development and technical skill of both parties.
SEG was established in 2016 and based in Texas, has become a leading PV module brand in the United States, having delivered modules for more than 2 GW of PV projects in the US market, comprising utility, commercial, and residential projects.
Meike Solar is a high-tech company in the R&D and manufacture of solar-grade mono wafer. Based in Inner Mongolia, the entity has been established as the diamond wire wafer slicing line with a yearly capacity of 15GW.
