SECI Invites Bids for Acquiring 800 Acres of Land for 200 MW Solar PV Project in MP
SECI’s tender aims to select an agency for the outright purchase or lease of 800 acres of land for the development of a 200 MW Solar PV Project in Madhya Pradesh.

Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) has issued an e-tender inviting bids for the outright purchase or lease of 800 acres of land for the development of the 200 MW Solar PV Project in Madhya Pradesh.
SECI plans to develop a 200 MW (AC) Solar PV Project in the state of Madhya Pradesh with connectivity to the State Transmission Utility (STU) network. For the development of this project, SECI intends to purchase or obtain on lease 800 acres of land in the state of Madhya Pradesh, through this tender.
As per the tender document, the scope of works of this contract includes submitting the proposal either through outright purchase or lease of land for 30 years, services for allied works, construction of a chain link fence along the land boundary and main entry gate and identifying STU substation for power evacuation and obtaining connectivity. The last date for submitting bids is September 23, 2024, till 2:00 PM. Techno Commercial Bids will be opened on the same day at 4:00 PM. The date and time for the Financial Bid opening will be intimated after the shortlisting of Techno Commercial Bids.
Interested parties must deposit a bids processing fee of INR 25,000 (including GST) along with the bid document, either through NEFT/RTGS transfer to SECI’s account or through DD/Banker’s Cheque issued in favour of SECI. Additionally, the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 22,10,000 has also to be deposited either through NEFT/RTGS transfer or through DD/Banker’s Cheque.
Bidders interested in participating in the tender shall arrange a minimum of 800 acres of land in the state of Madhya Pradesh either through outright purchase or for obtaining land on lease for 30 years by SECI. The entire quantum of land may preferably be contiguous. And, the land should not have any kind of restriction for the development of Solar PV projects.
“The bidder may offer multiple land parcels provided all the land parcels fall within a radius of five km. However, the minimum area of individual land parcel shall not be less than 200 acres,” noted the tender document.
Financial eligibility criteria include a minimum average annual turnover (MAAT) of INR 4,42,00,000 in the last three financial years and a minimum working capital of INR 2,76,00,000 as per the last audited financial statement.
“If the bidder’s working capital is inadequate, the bidder should supplement this with a letter from the bidder’s bank, having a net worth not less than INR 500 Crores, confirming availability of the line of credit for more than or equal to INR 2,76,00,000 to meet the working capital requirement of this particular Project,” noted the tender document.
