SECI Initiates Tender Process for 300 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh

Part of the Central Public Sector Undertaking Scheme Phase II, this initiative aims to propel the nation towards sustainable energy goals by erecting 12,000 MW of grid-connected solar projects nationwide.
Prospective bidders have until March 27, 2024, to submit their proposals, which will encompass the entire spectrum of project execution, from design and engineering to procurement and construction. Additionally, the successful candidate will undertake the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the project for a period of five years.
Bidders can qualify through one of three routes: Route 1 necessitates experience in executing ground-mounted solar projects totaling a minimum capacity of 120 MW in the last seven financial years, while Route 2 mandates experience as a developer of grid-connected solar projects exceeding 120 MW capacity, with individual projects of at least 30 MW operational for a minimum of six months prior to submission.
Route 3 requires a track record of executing industrial projects worth INR 75 crores or more in the past decade, coupled with successful operation for at least one year before bidding, and the construction of at least one electrical sub-station of 33 kV or above voltage level.
Furthermore, bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 4.5 crores and a contract performance security equivalent to 5 percent of the total project cost. Financial prerequisites include a minimum average annual turnover of INR 178 crores in the past three financial years, with a positive net worth for the most recent fiscal year.
