SECI Awards Incentives to Six Firms for Green Hydrogen Electrolyser Manufacturing
Reliance Electrolyser Manufacturing, Jindal India, and John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions are among the prominent firms that emerged as successful bidders.

Six companies have successfully secured incentives from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to establish electrolyser manufacturing facilities that align with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission.
Reliance Electrolyser Manufacturing, Jindal India, and John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions are among the prominent firms that emerged as successful bidders, signaling a substantial stride in India's commitment to becoming a global hub for green hydrogen production.
The competitive bids, initiated on July 2023, were aimed at inviting players to establish a robust 1.5 GW manufacturing capacity for electrolysers.

Reliance Electrolyser Manufacturing Ltd. secured incentives amounting to INR 444 crore for setting up 300 MW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity. Similarly, John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions Private Ltd. and Jindal India Ltd. each secured INR 444 crore incentives for their 300 MW manufacturing capacities.
The total incentives awarded to the six firms under 'Bucket-1: Electrolyser manufacturing capacity based on any stack technology' amounted to a substantial INR 1,776 crore for 1200 MW.
Ohmium Operations Pvt. Ltd. secured INR 202.76 crore for 137 MW, Advait Infratech Ltd. (in consortium with Rajesh Power Service Private Ltd.) obtained INR 148 crore for 100 MW, and L&T Electrolysers Ltd. was awarded INR 93.24 crore for 63 MW.
Out of 14 qualified bids, eight firms, including Matrix Gas and Renewables, HHP Seven, ACME Cleantech Solutions, Adani New Industries, Waaree Energies, Avaada Electrolyser, Green H2 Network India, and Hild Electric, were not allocated manufacturing capacity under this scheme.
In addition, 'Bucket-2: Electrolyser manufacturing capacity based on indigenously developed stack technology' saw Homihydrogen and Adani New Industries emerge as successful bidders. Homihydrogen secured incentives of INR 150.22 crore for setting up 101.5 MW of electrolysers manufacturing capacity, while Adani New Industries received INR 293.78 crore for 198.5 MW.
