According to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) statement, the nations are free to picture out their distinctive low-carbon pathways relying on national priorities and resources as a multi-functional approach won’t work.
Union Petroleum and natural gas minister Hardeep Puri represented India at a virtual congregation on emerging fuels and energy modelling structure.
SCO added, “There does not exist one uniform low-carbon pathway working equally well for all the countries, and each country is free to chart out its own unique path based on national priorities and resources”.
The developed economies' constant propels to cut down the use of coal all over the world. Though imposed minimization in coal utilization can shoot up the energy security risk for countries enriched with coal as they would then rely more on imports of other fuels to fulfil their energy requirements.
Hardeep Singh Puri discussed about every member economy is distressed about energy feasibility, but several larger nations have a higher potential to offer with rise price than others. Oil and gas prices increased in the previous year, pushing each nation to find out its own strategy and tactics to deal with the fluctuating prices in the international market.
