Samridh Bioenergy and Organics organised the groundbreaking ceremony of their 12 TPD plant that comes under the waste-to-energy initiative under the national bioenergy programme led by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The plant will be located in village Hasanpur Patti, Tehsil Bilari, District Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is the EPC/ LSTK contractor of this compressed biogas plant project.  The upcoming biogas plant in Moradabad will cover 12 acres and process 270 tons of organic waste daily. It will yield approximately 30,000 cubic meters of biogas on a daily basis.

The four digesters of the plant will employ a multi-feed system, i.e., it will accept different kinds of organic waste such as press mud (sugar mill waste), cow dung, chicken litter, vegetable waste, etc. It’s also designed to handle seasonal waste depending on what’s available locally. This setup ensures year-round production and supports the circular economy by turning agricultural and organic waste into clean energy.

CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd., the contractor for the project, is set to complete and deliver the biogas plant at full capacity within the next year. Once operational, the plant will supply compressed biogas (CBG) to Torrent Gas as part of the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme in collaboration with the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL). Ashu Chib, Ashwani Chib, and other team members from Samridh Bioenergy attended the ceremony.

At the same time, Prince Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Abhinav Govil, Anup Maheshwari, and Veethika Singh represented CEID Consultants at the groundbreaking event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ashu Chib, Director of Samridh Bioenergy said, "We are excited to mark the beginning of this significant project that aligns with our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. This 30,000 cubic meters per day CBG plant will not only contribute to the renewable energy landscape but also support the local economy by utilising agricultural and organic waste for clean energy production. We look forward to the positive environmental impact this plant will have in Moradabad."

Prince Gandhi, Founder and CEO at CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt Ltd, added, "We feel honored to be a part of this great initiative along with Samridh Bioenergy. This is our second project in Moradabad and we will be delivering this plant with full capacity in the next 12 months. We are committed to making a world-class, high-capacity CBG plant that serves the best practices of the industry. This project is a testament to our commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions and contributing to India’s renewable energy goals."

CEID’s responsibilities include the complete design, procurement, and construction of the plant. They will ensure the facility is built to industry standards, making it safe, efficient, and fully functional for long-term operations.
