Ahmedabad-based Sahaj Solar Ltd. has announced that the company has received a notice to proceed (NTP) for the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of off-grid standalone solar PV water pumping systems in Gujarat.

The company received a LoA for the same from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (DGVCL) under Component B of PM- KUSUM Scheme.

The total amount of the contract value is INR 46.64 Crore (inclusive of GST), informed the company in a regulatory filing.

Earlier this month, Sahaj Solar received a letter of award (LoA) from the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) under the PM KUSUM Scheme (Component C) to solarise existing 2 HP grid-connected agriculture pumps in Tripura.

Sahaj Solar has been making strides since its inception in 2010. Recognised by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Sahaj Solar specialises in high-performance solar PV modules using crystalline PV technology. The company also provides system designing, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.

With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat, Sahaj Solar continues to grow and achieve key milestones such as achieving a global export milestone in 2019. The company was listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in July 2024.

In October 2024, the company announced setting up a 1.5 GW solar module production line. The company signed a deal with Cliantech Solutions for the same. It included an initial order for 750 MW of solar modules, which Sahaj Solar confirmed on October 3. The remaining 750 MW is scheduled to be commissioned after Q2 2025.
