Sahaj Solar Receives INR 36.42 Crore Order for Solarisation of Agricultural Pumps in Tripura

Sahaj Solar has received a letter of award (LoA) from Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) under PM KUSUM Scheme (Component C) to solarise existing 2 HP grid-connected agriculture pumps in Tripura.

Ahmedabad-based Sahaj Solar Ltd. has announced that the company has received orders worth INR 36.42 crore for solarisation of agricultural pumps in Tripura.

The order has been awarded by Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) under PM- KUSUM Scheme (Component C). Sahaj Solar has received Letter of Award (LoA) for the same.

The contract involves solarisation of existing 2 HP grid-connected agriculture pumps (IPS) including 5 years guarantee/warranty and annual maintenance contract including insurance coverage on turnkey basis, the company shared in a regulatory filing.

It further added that the contract needs to fulfilled within 12 months from the date of issue of LoA.

Sahaj Solar has been making strides since its inception in 2010. Recognised by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Sahaj Solar specialises in high-performance solar PV modules using crystalline PV technology. The company also provides system designing, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.

With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat, Sahaj Solar continues to grow and achieve key milestones such as achieving a global export milestone in 2019. The company was listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in July 2024.

In October 2024, the company announced setting up a 1.5 GW solar module production line. The company signed a deal with Cliantech Solutions for the same. It included an initial order for 750 MW of solar modules, which Sahaj Solar confirmed on October 3. The remaining 750 MW is scheduled to be commissioned after Q2 2025.
