Roofsol Energy Secures 10.5 MWp Solar Projects from Shree Cement
These ground-mounted projects, termed 'Behind the Meter,' are slated for implementation in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.

Roofsol Energy Pvt. Ltd. has secured a contract from Shree Cement Limited to develop solar projects with a capacity of 10.5 MWp. These ground-mounted projects, termed 'Behind the Meter,' are slated for implementation in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.
Shree Cement Limited, a powerhouse in the cement industry and among the top three manufacturers in India, has been a notable player since its inception in 1979. Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, the company offers a diverse range of cement products under various brand names such as Shree Jung Rodhak, Bangur Cement, Rockstrong, Bangur Power, and Roofon.
With cement grinding units strategically located in nine key locations across India and production facilities in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka, Shree Cement boasts a strong presence in both domestic and international markets. In addition to its core cement operations, the company has ventured into power generation through waste heat recovery plants and is now venturing into solar energy initiatives.
Roofsol Energy has established a strong track record of success, having collaborated with numerous industry leaders to strengthen India's renewable energy sector, particularly in the cement sector and other industries.
Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2025, Roofsol Energy sets a target to execute over 250 MWp of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects in the commercial and industrial (C&I) space, along with the behind-the-meter segments.
