RenewSys Signs MoU with Telangana Government for INR 6,000 Crore Investment in Solar Manufacturing

RenewSys India Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government, outlining plans to establish several manufacturing units for Photovoltaic (PV) modules and PV cells within the state. The agreement entails a phased investment totaling INR 6,000 crore, slated to extend until the financial year 2028.
The investment plan is expected to create direct employment opportunities for approximately 11,000 individuals over the next five years. The signing ceremony took place at the company's factory premises located in Fab City, Maheshwaram, with the presence of Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
RenewSys, headquartered in Singapore, boasts the distinction of establishing India’s premier integrated manufacturing facility for solar PV modules and essential components such as Encapsulants, Backsheets, and PV cells.
Presently, the company operates three manufacturing plants across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Patalganga, with the Hyderabad facility standing as its largest integrated unit.
