RenewSys Introduces World’s 1st 505 Wp Solar Modules using G1 (158.75mm) Cells

RenewSys, which is the country’s first integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and its key components - encapsulants, backsheets and cells, has launched the world’s first 505 Wp solar modules using G1 (158.75mm) cells.

Through this product launch, the company aimed at targeting the pumping market with a voltage of 60.94 V.

These solar modules which termed as ‘Deserv Galactic Ultra’, have been engineered using half-cut mono-PERCG1 (158.75mm) solar PV cells to significantly increase the output and performance of modules, even at higher temperatures.

Moreover, this is India’s first solar module that reached 505 Wp and can also perform significantly better than full cell module under shading conditions.

The company said that, the Deserv Galactic Ultra HI series has been designed and engineered to provide high output (505+ Wp), at a lower voltage to ensure longer string length. The total power per string can be increased by up to 20 per cent. This in turn assures savings not just on the amount of land required to set up a plant, but on the entire gamut of material needed to set up the plant, commonly referred to as BOS, making this the ideal choice for rooftop and utility scale solar power plants.

Adding to it, it is compatible with all installation schemes including single and double tracker systems.

Significantly, it helps in reducing 60 per cent in number of solar modules required to set up a pump with a voltage that is 10 per cent higher than modules otherwise used in solar pumps.
