SJVN’s auction to develop 1,200 MW ISTS-connected renewable energy projects for the supply of firm and dispatchable power (FDRE) has attracted an L1 tariff of INR 4.82/kWh. A total of 448 MW has been awarded through this auction.
ReNew Solar Power, EG Energy Development (Enfinity Global), Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon, Serentica Renewables India, and Tata Power Renewable Energy have emerged as winners.
ReNew Solar Power has won 100 MW at the L1 tariff of INR 4.82/kWh. EG Energy has secured 60 MW at a tariff of INR 4.83/kWh.
Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon and Serentica Renewables India have bagged 100 MW each at a tariff of INR 4.86/kWh and INR 4.89/kWh, respectively. Tata Power Renewable Energy has been awarded 88 MW at a tariff of INR 4.91/kWh.
The tender, issued in July 2024, included a greenshoe option of up to 1,200 MW and required a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW and a maximum of 600 MW.
As per the terms specified in the tender, projects will utilise commercially proven technologies to mitigate risks and ensure timely commissioning. Wind projects must use certified wind turbine models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers. The declared annual capacity utilisation factor must be at least 75 percent.
It further specified that for solar modules and balance of systems, the projects must adhere to the government’s technical guidelines for grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems applicable at the time of commissioning.
