Refex Green Power to Set Up 250 TPD Municipal Solid Waste-based Bio-CNG Plant at Coimbatore
Refex Green Power Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables and Infrastructure Ltd., has secured an order from Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to develop a 250 TPD Bio-CNG plant at Coimbatore under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 initiative.

Refex Renewables and Infrastructure Ltd. has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Refex Green Power Ltd. has won a tender for the establishment of a 250 TPD Municipal Solid Waste based Bio-CNG plant at Coimbatore under PPP mode.
The tender was issued by Coimbatore Municipal Corporation. The project has been awarded under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 for solid waste management.
The projects will be on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis for a period of 20 years, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
The estimated cost of the project is INR 78.54 crore. The project is expected to be fully commissioned in 19 months from the date of the Concession Agreement, it said.
The company entered the CBG segment in December 2024. It completed the acquisition of a controlling stake in compressed biogas manufacturer Vyzag Bio-Energy Fuel for an investment of about INR 2.90 crore.
In the same month, Refex Green Power formed a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to set up a 100 MW solar power project which was awarded by NTPC Ltd. in October 2024.
That same month, Refex Green entered into a joint venture with Winvision Enterprises to focus on wind energy solutions, including manufacturing and assembling wind turbine generators and components, with a 75.5 percent ownership stake.
