RECDCL Hands Over 2 SPVs to Evacuate 3.5 GW RE Power from Rajasthan

REC Power Development and Consulting Ltd. has transferred two project-specific SPVs, Rajasthan IV 4A and 4B Power Transmission Ltd., to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. and Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd., respectively, for the evacuation of 3.5 GW RE power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone.

REC Power Development and Consulting Ltd. (RECPDCL) has recently handed over two project specific special purpose vehicles (SPV) to evacuate 3.5 GW of RE power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone.

While Rajasthan IV 4A Power Transmission Ltd. has been handed over to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission Ltd. has been handed over to Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd.

The SPV was handed over by T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL to Satyaprakash Dash, Company Secretary, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. in the presence of senior officials of RECPDCL, POWERGRID and Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd. The project is targeted for implementation in 24 months.

For Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission Ltd., the SPV was handed over by T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL to Amit Kumar, Sr. Vice President, Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd.

The transmission project, handed over to POWERGRID worth INR 5378.03 crore, is planned for evacuation of 3.5 GW of RE power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone, which covers establishment of 765/400 kV, 2 X1500 MVA S/s near Ghiror (Uttar Pradesh), Augmentation of Barmer -I Pooling Station, 283.05 Kms of 765 kV line and 43.28 Kms of 400 kV line along with associated works.

This transmission scheme, handed over to Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon worth INR 5177.41 crore, is planned for evacuation of 3.5 GW of RE power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone, which covers establishment of 765/400 kV, 2 X1500 MVA substation near Merta (Rajasthan), 577.97 Kms of 765 kV line and 72.8 Kms of 400 kV line along with associated works.
