REC’s Renewable Energy Loan Disbursements Surged 58.09 Percent to INR 6314 Cr in Q3 FY25

For 9 months (Q1-Q3) FY24-25, REC disbursed total loans amounting to INR 1,45,647 crore, which is higher by 19.30 percent compared to INR 1,22,089 crore disbursed in the corresponding period of FY23-24.

REC Ltd., a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, reported loan disbursements of INR 54,692 crore for Q3 FY 2024-25, reflecting a 17.98 percent year-on-year growth.

Renewable energy loan disbursements surged 58.09 percent to INR 6,314 crore during the quarter, underscoring the company’s focus on clean energy financing.

For the first nine months of FY 2024-25, REC disbursed INR 1,45,647 crore in loans, a 19.30 percent increase from INR 1,22,089 crore in the same period last year. Renewable energy loans totalled INR 17,612 crore, marking a robust 78.68 percent year-on-year rise.

“Our renewable energy loan aggregate also continues to grow at a steady pace, reflecting our commitment towards accelerating India’s clean energy commitments,” asserted the company in a post on X.

As a key NBFC in India’s energy sector, REC continues to drive funding across generation, transmission, and distribution projects, with its expanding renewable energy portfolio aligning with national sustainability and clean energy targets.
