REC Announces Senior Management Change, Promotes Saraswathi to Executive Director

Ajay Mathur, who served as the Executive Director, has retired from his position. Following his superannuation, Saraswathi has been promoted as the new Executive Director of the company.

REC Limited has announced a change in its senior management. Ajay Mathur, who served as the Executive Director, has retired from his position. Following his superannuation, Saraswathi has been promoted as the new Executive Director of the company.

Before her promotion, Saraswathi held the position of Senior General Manager (Engineering). She has a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

This change is effective from February 1, 2025, subject to assumption of charge.

REC Limited a 'Maharatna' company under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power is a key player in India's power sector, providing financial assistance for electricity projects across the country. REC has evolved and expanded its financing mandate to cover the entire Power-Infrastructure sector comprising generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and new technologies like electric vehicles, battery storage, green hydrogen etc.
