Real Estate Firm Gaurs Group Enters into Energy Sector with 15 MW Solar Power Project

The real estate developer Gaurs Group has rushed into the energy sector by building a 15 MW solar power plant at Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh, with an investment worth INR 80 crore.
The project is rolled over 50 acres of area.
The company has stated that the plant will produce 2.25 crore units of electricity per year, and the project's capacity can be increased according to future needs.
The company also added that the solar plant has been funded through private equity along with a loan of INR 55 crore from the State Bank of India.
Manoj Gaur, Chairman and Managing Director of Gaurs Group, added, “We are delighted to have completed the 15 MW Mahoba solar power project and are dedicating it to the nation on World Environment Day. The minimum useful life of the plant is 26 years".
This plant will support diminishing CO2 emissions by 18,000 tonnes on average per annum.
The electricity generated by the plant will be consolidated with the central grid and used for the group’s projects, such as Gaur City Mall, Gaur Central Mall, The Gaurs Sarovar Portico, and Gaur City Centre.
