Ratle Hydroelectric Project to Supply Power to Rajasthan for 40 Years Under PPA

Ratle Hydro Electric Power Corporation Limited (RHPCL), a joint venture between NHPC Limited and Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC), has formalized a significant Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited.
The agreement entails the procurement of power generated from the 850 MW Ratle Hydroelectric Project in Kishtwar, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The PPA stipulates the offtake of power for an extensive period of 40 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the Ratle Hydroelectric Project. The power allocation will be as per the notifications by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The signing ceremony took place in Jaipur, with the presence of senior officials from RHPCL and Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited. This collaboration signifies a strategic initiative to enhance the energy landscape, fostering sustainable power solutions for Rajasthan.
The 850 MW Ratle Hydroelectric Project is expected to play a crucial role in meeting the energy demands of Rajasthan, contributing to the state's development and ensuring a reliable power supply for the next four decades.
