Ramkrishna Forgings Limited declared in its trade filing that the company will take a major step towards attaining carbon neutrality by investing in renewable energy. The organization aims to install a 7.82 MW rooftop solar project at its Jamshedpur forging plants in Saraikela and Dugni.
The company declared its prospects to set up a solar project, evaluated to worth of about Rs 35 crore which will be financed through a combination of debt and equity instruments.
Ramkrishna Forgings Limited is known as delivers the assembling of equipped, machined products that it will make a major investment in renewable energy in way to attain carbon neutrality.
On finishing the solar project, Ramkrishna Forgings will apply the power produced along the project for its confined consumption, thereby lowering its dependence on grid power. The solar project will also aid the forging company in achieving its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) vision and contributing to its goal of achieving a sustainable future.
The overall cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs 35 crore, which will be funded through a combination of debt and equity.
