Rajasthan Gears Up to Ensure Uninterrupted Power Supply This Summer

To ensure an uninterrupted power supply during the summer season, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Alok has directed electricity distribution and transmission corporations to make the necessary preparations.

He reviewed the summer power supply arrangements in a video conference with senior officials of electricity distribution and transmission corporations at Vidyut Bhawan.

During the meeting, Superintending Engineers (O&M) of Jaipur Discom presented circle-wise updates on preparations and progress under various schemes.

Alok instructed engineers to assess the expected increase in electricity demand and take necessary measures, including installing high-capacity transformers and other essential equipment at 33/11 kV substations. He also directed transmission corporation engineers to ensure adequate infrastructure at grid stations.

Alok reviewed the progress of key government schemes, including the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Kusum, and RDSS, on a circle-wise basis. He emphasised the need to accelerate work at the ground level to meet the implementation targets effectively.

The meeting was attended by State Transmission Corporation Managing Director Nathmal Didel, Technical Director of Jaipur Discom, and other senior officials. Managing Directors, Technical Directors, and officers from Jodhpur and Ajmer Discoms participated through video conferencing.
