Purvah Green Power Acquires Deshraj Solar Energy

Purvah Green Power, a subsidiary of CESC, has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire Deshraj Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. on a fully diluted basis.

CESC Ltd. has announced that its subsidiary Purvah Green Power Pvt. Ltd. has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) for acquisition of 100 percent share capital of Deshraj Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. on a fully diluted basis.

Deshraj Solar Energy is engaged in the business of development of a solar PV power plant of 300 MW capacity in India and its related activities.

Post the completion of acquisition of shares, Deshraj Solar Energy will become a step-down subsidiary of the company.

Earlier this month, Purvah Green Power, signed a term sheet to acquire Bhojraj Renewables Energy for developing a 150 MW solar and 300 MW wind project, with the acquisition set at INR 108.56 crore.

Last month, the company entered into a binding term sheet with Ecoren Energy India for setting up wind power projects up to 686.85 MW.

Purvah Green Power also won a tender from CESC through TBCB to develop 300 MW ISTS-connected solar PV plant.
