Ahmedabad-based solar EPC company Prozeal Green Energy has won Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd.’s (SECI) tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and operation and maintenance of 25 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant (50 MWp) with 20 MW/50 MWh battery energy storage system at Taru, Leh.
The company’s winning bid totals about INR 313.12 crore. It is divided into three parts: plant and mandatory spare parts at INR 226.75 crore; freight, design, civil and installation services at INR 58.32 crore; and operation and maintenance at INR 28.05 crore.
The tender for the project, issued in April, this year, mandated that only modules listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's Approved List for Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) be used for the project.
The project in Leh will significantly improve energy security in the region. With a robust battery storage system, it will effectively manage solar power fluctuations, ensuring a more reliable and stable energy supply.
With over 2 GW of installed capacity in renewable energy, Prozeal Green Energy serves more than 300 clients across the commercial, industrial, institutional, and government sectors, the company claimed.
