Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.’s (GUVNL) Phase XXV auction for supplying power from 500 MW of grid-connected solar projects, with an additional 500 MW greenshoe option has attracted a tariff of INR 2.55/kWh.
Prozeal Green Energy, Ausom Enterprise, Kintech Synergy, Enertech Fuel Solutions, S.B.B. Mouldings and Drashta Green Power emerged as L1 bidders and have been awarded 100 MW, 50 MW, 50 MW, 40 MW, 10 MW, and 10 MW, respectively, at a tariff of INR 2.55/kWh.
SAEL Industries has secured 240 MW at a tariff of INR 2.56/kWh under the bucket-filling method.
Under the greenshoe option, Kintech, Enertech, Drashta, and SAEL accepted capacities of 50 MW, 203 MW, 7 MW, and 240 MW at INR 2.55/kWh.
The tender, floated in August, allowed projects in various stages, including those under construction, yet to be commissioned, or already operational but without long-term power purchase agreements.
Projects were required to use solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
As per the terms of the tender, the solar project could be located within existing grid-connected wind farms if spare capacity was available for renewable energy integration.
Bidders were required to offer a minimum capacity of 50 MW for interstate-connected projects and 10 MW for state transmission utility-connected projects.
