Premier Energies to Invest INR 5292 Cr in Solar Cell, Module, Ingots, Silicon Wafers Plants in Telangana
Premier Energies plans to invest INR 3342 crore in a 4 GW solar PV TOPCon cell and 4 GW solar PV TOPCon module manufacturing facility, INR 1700 crore in an ingots and silicon wafers plant and another INR 250 crore in an aluminium extrusions facility at Sitarampur in Telangana.

Solar PV cells and modules manufacturer Premier Energies will invest around INR 5,292 crore to set up plants for manufacturing solar cells, modules, ingots, silicon wafers, and aluminium extrusions in Telangana.
Premier Energies Global Environment Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Premier Energies Ltd., has signed an MoU with the state government to set up a 4 GW solar PV TOPCon cell and 4 GW solar PV TOPCon module manufacturing facility at Sitarampur with an investment of about INR 3342 crore. 75 acres of land for the said plant has already been allocated by Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC).
Premier Energies will also be investing about INR 1700 crore in an ingots and silicon wafers plant and another INR 250 crore in an aluminium extrusions facility at Sitarampur. The company is being allotted 125 acres of land for the said plants.
Along with this proposal, the state government received investment proposals from two other players to set up manufacturing facilities in the state with a cumulative investment of about INR 2300 crore. MoUs for the same were signed with Lenskart and aerospace and defence player Azad Engineering.
These combined manufacturing investments of about INR 7600 crore are expected to generate about 5200 jobs in sectors such as aerospace and defence, electronics and energy storage, as well as eyewear manufacturing.
