Pralhad Joshi Assumes Charge as Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy

Pralhad Joshi officially assumed the role of Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, in addition to his current position as Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
The formal ceremony took place at Atal Akshaya Urja Bhawan, where he was welcomed by Secretary Bhupinder Singh Bhalla and other senior officials of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Shripad Yesso Naik also took charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
In his address to the media, Minister Joshi highlighted the key role of the renewable energy sector in securing India’s energy future. "The renewable energy sector is critical for ensuring India’s energy security. There is vast potential for growth in this field, and the government is committed to advancing renewable energy initiatives to meet the country’s rising energy demands and environmental goals," he stated.
Following the ceremony, the Union Minister held a comprehensive briefing session with senior officials of the ministry, where discussions focused on the strategic roadmap for the development and expansion of renewable energy projects across the country.
