October 24, 2013. By Moulin

Power-One presents its newest residential string inverter series and a new mobile application for its Aurora Vision monitoring products at the Solar Power International Trade Show in Chicago, Illinois from October 21st to the 24th. Power-One will introduce two innovations: The Aurora UNO-7.6 and 8.6kw, single-phase, residential string inverters as well as the company’s first Wi-Fi Logger Card from its well-known Aurora Vision monitoring products.

Aurora® UNO-7.6 and 8.6kW – Residential String Inverters

Power-One’s new Aurora UNO-7.6 and UNO-8.6 single-phase string inverters round out its robust residential product line now giving residential installers an inverter for every project and design challenge. The new inverters offer an output of 7.6kW and 8.6kW with a maximum efficiency rating of 97.5%. The UNO-7.6kW is well suited to maximize the PV system capacity for a typical home without substantial changes to the service panel. They offer a dual MPPT and wide input voltage range selections with independent MPP tracking from two sub-arrays orientated in different directions. These products are ideal for home applications where pitched roofs and multiple orientations of the panels are used. The Power-One residential string offering now includes string inverters from 2kW to 8.6kW and the Aurora MICRO 250W and 300W panel inverters.

Aurora Vision WI-FI Logger Card – Monitoring

This 2 x 3 inch device, which fits into all Power-One string inverters, broadens the vision inside the solar system eliminating the use of an Internet connection to track and monitor the system status eliminating the need for external data loggers and wires. The Aurora Vision Wi-Fi Logger Card can be retrofit into all Power-One string inverters and provides installers the tools to do their job more efficiently through remote monitoring functionality. This remote monitoring functionality provides a system-level view thereby increasing its serviceability.
