Power Grid Corp Board Ratifies Investments for Two Projects

The calculated cost for the transmission system for Kurnool wind energy/solar energy zone is approximately INR 3546.94 crore and the same is to be commenced by November 2024.

State-owned Power Grid Corporation’s board has ratified outlays of around INR 4,071 crore mainly for two transmission projects in the country.

It has also sanctioned the Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX (ERES-XXIX) at a calculated cost of approximately INR 524.04 crore, arranged to be commenced by November 2025.

While the calculated cost for the transmission system for Kurnool wind energy/solar energy zone is approximately INR 3546.94 crore and the same is to be commenced by November 2024.

Pertaining to this project, the enterprise will be needed to set up an inter-state transmission system for the establishment of Khavda Pooling Station-3 in Khavda RE Park on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis

The extent of the project contains the establishment of a new 765/400kV GIS Substation, 765kV D/C transmission line, and correlated works in Gujarat.
