Power and Instrumentation (Gujarat) Secures INR 17.07 Cr Work Order for 5 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra
Power and Instrumentation (Gujarat) Ltd. has secured a work order worth INR 17.07 crore for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of plant and equipment for a 5 MW (AC) solar power project in Latur district of Maharashtra from A2 Green Energy. This marks the company’s foray into the solar EPC business.

Power and Instrumentation (Gujarat) Ltd. has announced that the company has secured a work order worth INR 17.07 crore for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of plant and equipment at site complete in all respects for a 5 MW (AC) solar power project in Latur district of Maharashtra. The contract has been awarded by A2 Green Energy (formerly known as Hydel Consultants). This marks the company’s foray into the solar EPC business.
Supply, installation, testing, completion and commission of the facility to the extent of 75 percent of the contract price needs to be completed within 12 months from the date of the award of contract, the company has shared in a regulatory filing. It has further added that the balance of 25 percent needs to be completed within another 6 months’ timeframe.
Commenting on the development, Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai, Managing Director of Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited said, “We are delighted to have been entrusted with the responsibility of executing this 5 MW solar power project in Maharashtra. This marks a significant milestone for us as we venture into Solar EPC projects for the first time, reflecting our expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in the renewable energy space.”
