PMI Electro Mobility to Provide 250 Electric Buses to BEST
PMI Electro Mobility currently operates more than 1,700 electric buses across 31 cities in India, including locations from Leh to Kerala. Mumbai will be the second city in Maharashtra to adopt PMI's electric buses, following Nagpur, where 144 buses are in operation.

PMI Electro Mobility has signed a deal with Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) to supply 250 electric buses.
The agreement was signed by Anil Diggikar, IAS, General Manager of BEST, and Dipesh Dwivedi, Director of PMI Electro Mobility. These 12-meter, air-conditioned electric buses will be delivered in batches by the second quarter of FY26.
The buses, designed for comfort, safety, and eco-friendliness, will operate on various routes in Mumbai and its suburbs under the Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model. This initiative is expected to improve city connectivity while contributing to reduced carbon emissions.
PMI Electro Mobility currently operates more than 1,700 electric buses across 31 cities in India, including locations from Leh to Kerala. Over 12 years, these buses are projected to save approximately 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and over 125 million liters of diesel.
