PM Modi Unveils INR 56,000 Crore Development Projects Across Multiple States
Over 30 projects spanning energy, rail, road, and environmental sustainability were either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid during the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spearheaded a monumental inauguration ceremony, dedicating to the nation a plethora of developmental projects valued at over INR 56,000 crores. The event, held in Adilabad, Telangana, showcased the government's steadfast commitment to fostering growth and connectivity across various sectors.
Addressing a gathered audience, PM Modi emphasized the transformative impact of these initiatives, not only for the states involved but also for the nation at large. Over 30 projects spanning energy, rail, road, and environmental sustainability were either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid during the event, promising a wave of progress and prosperity.
Among the noteworthy accomplishments, the inauguration of the 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2 in Telangana's Peddapalli district stood out, representing a significant boost to the state's electricity generation capacity. Additionally, major strides were made in rail electrification and the initiation of key National Highway projects, aiming to enhance connectivity and spur economic development.
The presence of esteemed dignitaries including Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister Revantha Reddy, and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy underscored the significance of the occasion.
In a bid to revolutionize India's energy landscape, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand. This groundbreaking project, equipped with an Air Cooled Condenser (ACC), symbolizes a shift towards sustainable energy practices, significantly reducing water consumption compared to conventional methods.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister dedicated several other noteworthy projects across the nation, including the Fly Ash Based Lightweight Aggregate Plant in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and the STP Water to Green Hydrogen Plant in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, among others.
In a move to bolster the National Grid, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects by the Power Grid Corporation of India, aiming to enhance the efficiency and resilience of India's power transmission network.
Moreover, the foundation stone of Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited’s (BSUL’s) 1200 MW Jalaun Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in Uttar Pradesh was laid, promising to generate substantial green energy for the region.
In a series of inaugurations and foundation stone layings, the Prime Minister also unveiled solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam, along with transmission schemes for renewable energy evacuation in Karnataka.
These include the inauguration of three solar power projects of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) in Jalaun and Kanpur Dehat in Uttar Pradesh. These projects have a total capacity of 200 MW. The foundation stone of these projects was also laid by the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated Naitwar Mori Hydro Power station along with an associated transmission line in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, and laid the foundation stone of two solar projects of SJVN in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh and Dhubri, Assam; and also of 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh.
