PM Modi referenced the PM Suryaghar or Free Electricity Scheme, wherein eligible families, currently numbering at 1 crore, will receive direct deposits ranging from INR 30,000 to INR 80,000 based on their electricity generation. Families generating 100 units monthly will receive INR 30,000 assistance, while those producing 300 units or more will benefit from around INR 80,000.
Furthermore, PM Modi accentuated the government's thrust towards electric mobility, citing initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for manufacturing partners and tax exemptions on electric vehicle purchases. He noted, "As a result, about 34.5 lakh electric vehicles have been sold in the last 10 years." The Prime Minister also affirmed the rapid deployment of electric buses, underscoring the abundance of opportunities in both solar and EV sectors in Uttar Pradesh.
