PHDCCI, Greenstat Hydrogen India, Invest India to Organize International Climate Summit on Green Hydrogen

Trade and industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Norwegian Group’s Greenstat Hydrogen India and Invest India will be organising an International Climate Summit 2022 on Green Hydrogen in India.

Trade and industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Norwegian Group’s Greenstat Hydrogen India and Invest India will be organising an International Climate Summit 2022 on Green Hydrogen in India.

Sharing details about the Summit, Pradeep Multani, President, PHDCCI, said “PHD Chamber is happy to be a part of the Energy Transition movement and is pleased to announce organizing of ‘International Climate Summit 2022- Opportunities for Green Hydrogen in India’ (Norway-India Partnership), at Bergen, Norway on 30th and 31st of August 2022.”
 
Multani further added that, the event is being hosted by Greenstat Hydrogen India in partnership with PHDCCI and Invest India.

Besides, The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), World Research Institute (WRI) and several others are the knowledge Partners for the Summit. This Summit manifests Norway’s extended partnership to India to become Aatm Nirbhar (Self-Reliant) in Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen, he mentioned.
 
The event will offer opportunities to Global Players in energy transition in India for Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen, R&D Collaboration and setting up mega factories for green hydrogen production, said Pradeep Multani.
 
Also, the summit will provide opportunity to have deliberations to introduce green hydrogen in Steel Production, Ammonia and Transportation of CNG mix with green hydrogen in the existing vast network of CNG pipelines across India, he further said.
 
Furthermore, the event will also focus on the gaps needed to be filled in Safety Standards Regulatory as per International regulatory regime. Gexcon Norway and Greenstat Hydrogen India has already set up centre of excellences at IIT Delhi, SRIRAM Institute of Industrial Research and SRICT University (Ankleshwar), UPL in Safety, Standards, Policy Regulations, R&D, Pilot Plants and Demo Plants, Training Programmes in capacity building, etc.

Greenstat India has also signed MOU with Indian Oil Corporation to set up a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in advanced research in Hydrogen Technologies at Faridabad. 

Meanwhile, global leaders, policymakers, Nobel Laureates, scientists, universities, R&D Institutes and industries from Norway, Europe and other countries will be participating in the event to deliberate with Indian counterparts to explore business opportunities.
 
Summit will be followed by monthly round table discussions to finalize the recommendations of experts to support for zero-carbon, as committed by India in COP-26 at Glasgow, said Multani.
