Petroleum Minister Hails ONGC's Mumbai High as National Treasure on 50th Anniversary

Recognizing the historic significance of Mumbai High in India's oil and gas sector, Minister Puri emphasized its pivotal role in driving future exploration endeavors.

The Petroleum Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, extolled the achievement of Mumbai High's 50 years of operation, lauding it as a national treasure during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. 

Recognizing the historic significance of Mumbai High in India's oil and gas sector, Minister Puri emphasized its pivotal role in driving future exploration endeavors.

Addressing the audience at the event, including Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli, and other key dignitaries, Minister Puri underscored the imperative for ONGC to embrace cutting-edge technologies like AI and Data Analytics to ensure sustainability and mitigate environmental impact.

Highlighting ONGC's commendable efforts in harnessing discoveries for production, Minister Puri outlined a strategic vision for further advancements to bolster the nation's growth trajectory. He encouraged ONGC to lead exploration efforts in the sedimentary basin, emphasizing the fusion of experience with innovative perspectives to optimize production capabilities.

The event also celebrated the inauguration of the state-of-the-art ISPHEM facility in Goa, hailed as a global benchmark for safety standards in the Exploration and Production (E&P) industry, drawing accolades from the Prime Minister.

ONGC, in commemoration of the occasion, honored past leaders and young achievers who have contributed significantly to Mumbai High's development. A special short film titled 'ONGC Promise,' narrated by veteran actor Paresh Rawal, showcased the company's illustrious journey, spanning past, present, and future endeavors.

In his address, ONGC Chairman and CEO, Arun Kumar Singh, reaffirmed the company's commitment to intensify production plans and make substantial investments in exploration activities. He expressed optimism in discovering new fields akin to Mumbai High in the near future and reiterated ONGC's unwavering dedication to maximizing resource utilization within Mumbai High's operational ambit.
