Paschim Renewables to Develop 30 MW Solar Project in Karnataka

Paschim Renewables is expanding its solar footprint with a 30 MW project in Karnataka with an approximate investment of INR 150 crore. The company has signed an MoU with the Karnataka government for the same. The company is also developing a 7 MW captive power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad-based Paschim Renewables is set to establish a 30 MW solar power plant in the Raichur district of Karnataka, with an investment of INR 150 crore. The project is slated for completion by 2025.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government, Paschim Renewables will receive support in securing approvals, incentives, and regulatory clearances. The initiative is expected to generate 25 permanent jobs and create 100 indirect employment opportunities, contributing to clean energy expansion and economic growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions.

The MoU was signed by S Selvakumar, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, and Srinivas Movalla, Director, Paschim Renewables.

The company is also implementing a ground-mounted Solar power project of 7 MW in two phases at Nereducherla Village, Peapully Mandal, Nandayal District in the state of Andhra Pradesh on a Captive Power Plant (CPP) model with a manufacturing company.

“The project with an investment of INR 45 crore is being implemented in 2 Phases of 5.5 MW and 1.5 MW. The project is expected to be commissioned by March 31, 2025,” shared the company.

Overall, the Group will be implementing ground-mounted solar power projects on the CPP model with a total installed capacity of 40 MW in phases in the next 12 months with a capital outlay of INR 200-225 crore.
