Orient Green’s subsidiary Beta to set up 300 MW

The project will be split in two phases.

Beta Wind Farm, the subsidiary of Orient Green Power Company, plans to erect 300 MW wind power. The company has decided to split the project in phase 1 and phase 2.

It’s planned to set up 156 MW in Tamil Nadu during the first phase, meanwhile the second phase 2 plans to implement 144 MW in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

Orient Green Power is the largest independent operator and developer of renewable energy power plants in India based on aggregate installed capacity. Their portfolio includes biomass, biogas, wind energy and small hydroelectric projects at various stages of development.

The company is headquartered in Chennai and has currently 250 MW Wind Power and 50MW Biomass plants installed. They announced plans to increase it over 1000 MW.
