Oriana Power Signs INR 500 Cr MoU with Assam Govt for Solar and BESS Projects

Oriana Power Ltd. has signed an INR 500 crore MoU with the Assam government to develop solar and battery energy storage projects in Kamrup district of Assam, during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit – 2025 held in Guwahati, Assam.

Oriana Power Ltd. has signed an INR 500 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Assam, during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit – 2025 held in Guwahati, Assam.

The company intends to set up solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects in Kamrup district of Assam.

“This strategic partnership aligns with the Government of Assam’s goals to advance renewable energy and supports India’s commitment to sustainability. While this MoU signifies the intent of both parties, further formal agreements and regulatory approvals will be sought in due course,” shared the company in a regulatory filing.

Oriana Power focuses on providing solar energy solutions for industrial and commercial clients, offering both on-site projects, such as rooftop and ground-mounted systems, and off-site solar farms.
