Oriana Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to invest approximately INR 4,500 crore in setting up an integrated green hydrogen project in the state.

The proposed project will comprise production facilities for green hydrogen and its downstream derivatives, including green ammonia and green methanol. The investment will be made in accordance with the applicable policies of the Government of Maharashtra and implemented in a time-bound manner, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

Under the terms of the MoU, the Government of Maharashtra will facilitate the project by extending support for obtaining the necessary approvals, permissions, registrations and statutory clearances from relevant state authorities. The state government will also assist the company in availing applicable fiscal incentives, in line with prevailing laws, policies and regulations, to enable timely execution of the project.

In March 2026, TrueRE Oriana Power signed a long-term green ammonia purchase agreement (GAPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The agreement entails a contracted supply of 60,000 tonnes per annum at a discovered price of INR 52.25 per kg.
