OQ Alternative Energy proposes to develop a portfolio of renewable energy projects with an overall capacity of about 2 GW to assist the clean energy needs of Oil & Gas companies, along with industrial zones in the Sultanate of Oman.
This capacity is in addition to an estimated 30 GW of renewable energy schemes proposed for development by OQ Alternative Energy to power an array of huge-scale green hydrogen projects being prepared for implementation over the subsequent decades.
OQ Alternative Energy is working on building similar projects, comprising a project pipeline of 2 GW by the end of this decade, to supply clean energy to other oil and gas operators and Oman’s industrial clusters.
Additionally, clean energy portfolio and green hydrogen projects are in the pipeline intermittently exploring new ways to minimise and sustain the carbon footprint.
The CO2 and other greenhouse gases are issued from burning hydrocarbon fuels, projects including low-carbon hydrogen, wind, solar and Carbon Capture Usage and Storage (CCUS), as the future of Oman’s energy landscape.
OQ’s strategic investments in green hydrogen projects worth USD 40 billion continue to take the main platform at the Alternative Energy Unit.
