Onix Renewable has recently commissioned 115 MW of solar power projects under the government's PM-KUSUM scheme across Gujarat and received the first prize at the Vibrant Gujarat 2026 Conference for commissioning the highest number of PM-KUSUM project locations in the state.
The renewable energy company said it has undertaken a total of 187 MW of PM-KUSUM projects spread across 60 locations in Gujarat, making it one of the largest contributors to the scheme in the state. The remaining capacity is under various stages of construction, testing and commissioning.
The PM-KUSUM scheme, launched by the Indian government, aims to promote decentralised solar power generation and provide farmers with access to clean energy while enhancing rural energy security.
Onix Renewable said the commissioned projects are helping support Gujarat's renewable energy goals and contributing to India's broader clean energy transition by expanding solar generation capacity in rural areas.
The company attributed the progress to its project execution capabilities and said it remains committed to completing the balance capacity at the earliest.
A key milestone in the company's expansion was its recognition at the Vibrant Gujarat 2026 Conference, where it was awarded first prize for successfully charging and commissioning the highest number of PM-KUSUM project locations in Gujarat.
Chairman and Managing Director Divyesh Savaliya said the company remains focused on developing renewable energy solutions that support sustainable development and rural empowerment.
The company said its PM-KUSUM portfolio is helping farmers access clean power while supporting the state's efforts to increase renewable energy deployment and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.
Onix Renewable added that its engineering teams, project managers and site personnel played a critical role in executing projects across multiple locations in the state.
The company expressed confidence in completing the remaining projects and said it would continue working with government agencies, local communities and project partners to support India's clean energy ambitions.
