Omega Seiki Mobility Partners with iM3NY to Introduce US Battery Cell Technology to India

OSM partners with iM3NY for the production of powertrain components and batteries in India.

Omega Seiki Mobility has invested Rs 800 crore for the establishment of EV components such as batteries and power trains.

Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), a part of the Anglian Omega Group, is venturing into a partnership with iM3NY, a battery technology company in US, for the manufacture of powertrain components and batteries in India.

With this venture, the trajectory of the company is to bring battery cell technology to the Indian market from the subcontinent.

Earlier, OSM signed a pact with Jae Sung Tech, a Korean firm,to produce EV powertrains locally in India.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, of Omega Seiki Mobility, said, “Omega Seiki Mobility is India’s first fully integrated electric vehicle OEM with its own battery and powertrain technologies. Alliance with iM3NY ensures our access to world-class technology in batteries. Similarly, Power trains are evolving into high-efficiency, integrated systems which Jae Sung Korea brings to us. I compliment both my partners and welcome them to India.”
