Oklahoma Captivates Enel North America Solar Panel Manufacturing Amenity with USD 180 Million Incentive Package

Enel North America proposes to construct a solar cell and panel manufacturing amenity in eastern Oklahoma that would create employment for about 1,000 people after the Legislature consented to a USD 180 million incentive package to help captivate the company.
The company will outlay USD 1 billion in the project, which comprises the construction of a 2 million-square-foot solar photovoltaic cell and panel manufacturing facility that will have a yearly production capacity of 3 gigawatts.
In order to ascertain the whole USD 180 million, the company would have to invest around USD 1.8 billion in qualifying capital expenditures and generate 1,400 new jobs.
Enel North America’s parent company is in Italy, and European companies have been eying the U.S. to invest in the green energy boom, weighing up the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act’s USD 375 billion advantage for renewable industries.
Enel have invested over USD 3 billion in the past decade in 13 wind farms all over Oklahoma that produce over 2 gigawatts of yearly production, as well as a regional office in Oklahoma City to assist its workforce.
Building the factory is anticipated to generate over 1,800 construction jobs and an outlay of over USD 1 billion.
