Odisha Govt Approves 7 RE Projects Totalling 192.41 MW

The Odisha government has approved seven renewable energy projects worth INR 1,386.09 crore, adding 192.41 MW to the state’s renewable capacity under its Renewable Energy Policy-2022.

The Odisha government has approved seven renewable energy projects worth INR 1,386.09 crore, totalling a capacity of 192.41 MW.

These projects were approved by the single-window committee of the energy department headed by Principal Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev.

The approved initiatives include a 99 MW wind project, five ground-based solar projects of 91.77 MW, and a 1.64 MW rooftop solar project, aimed at bolstering the state’s sustainable energy infrastructure.

These projects align with the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy-2022, leveraging the state’s natural potential for renewable energy generation.

Dev highlighted the role of renewable energy in driving sustainable economic growth and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to attracting investments and ensuring timely project execution.

To date, the single-window committee has approved renewable energy investment proposals worth INR 9,781.47 crore, with a combined capacity of 1,441.79 MW.
