The Odisha Energy Department has unveiled the 'Go Green' Portal, a green initiative aimed at fostering renewable energy development in the state.
The portal, a creation of GRIDCO, was launched by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, who also serves as the chairman of GRIDCO.
This user-friendly platform will serve as a one-stop solution for prospective renewable energy (RE) developers, expediting the clearance process and enhancing monitoring of RE project approvals.
The 'Go Green' Portal streamlines the review and approval procedures for RE projects and offers a secure and efficient medium for project registration, tracking, and communication. It plays a pivotal role in facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of renewable energy initiatives within Odisha.
GRIDCO has been designated as the nodal agency for implementing the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy.
To date, seven Solar PV projects with a combined capacity of 202.27 MW have been approved, with an investment of INR 762.39 crore. Additionally, the single window committee has granted approval for studies related to the establishment of a 49.50 MW wind project at Deomali Hills in Koraput, expected to require an investment of INR 375 crore.
The launch event was attended by key figures from the Energy Department and related organisations, underscoring Odisha's commitment to advancing its renewable energy agenda.
