O2 Power, India’s renewable energy platform committed to driving the transition to clean energy through innovative solar and wind power solutions, has secured a renewable energy project of 800MWh Battery Storage System (BESS) under competitive bidding conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) – FDRE VI.

The project comprises installed capacities of 800MWH Battery Energy Storage System, with a strategic mix of solar and components to ensure non solar peak hour power supply.  Located near an operational CTUIL substation in Rajasthan, the project leverages abundant solar and land resources while utilizing existing evacuation infrastructure to minimize delays. The project is set to be commissioned within 24 months of PPA signing aligning with the government’s ambitious renewable energy goals.

Expressing his views on the new order win, Parag Sharma, Founder and CEO, O2 Power, said, “This project win reinforces our commitment to driving India’s clean energy transition. At O2 Power, we are dedicated to creating innovative and efficient renewable energy solutions at lower & affordable tariffs and this project will serve as another step towards a sustainable future.”

The successful bid not only underscores O2 Power’s technical and financial capabilities but also aligns with India’s renewable energy goals, including achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and reducing carbon emissions intensity.

O2 Power continues to solidify its position as one of the fastest-growing renewable energy developers, leading India's green energy revolution by delivering innovative and reliable energy solutions to advance the nation’s sustainable development goals.
