NVVN Invites Bids for 12 MW Rooftop Solar Projects at DRDO Hyderabad, Delhi and Bengaluru
NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has issued three tenders for the development of rooftop solar projects at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) campuses in Hyderabad (8 MW0, Delhi (1.3 MW) and Bengaluru (2.7 MW).

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam has floated three tenders for the development of rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 12 MW at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) campuses in Hyderabad, Delhi and Bengaluru.
The tender for the DRDO Hyderabad is for setting up 8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The project must be completed in 9 months. Bidders need to furnish INR 50 lakh as a bid security.
The last date for the submission of bids is February 19, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on February 20, 2025.
The project capacities mentioned in the tenders for DRDO Delhi and DRDO Bengaluru are 1.3 MW and 2.7 MW, respectively. Bid securities for the tenders are INR 5 lakh and INR 20 lakh, respectively.
The last date for the submission of bids for both the tenders is February 18, 2025. The techno-commercial bids for both the projects will be opened on February 20, 2025.
The scope of work for all the three projects includes design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and grid interfacing.
Selected bidders must obtain necessary approvals from distribution licensees and the chief electrical inspector for project connectivity. They are also required to install solar module cleaning systems and remote monitoring systems for performance tracking.
Additionally, bidders must adhere to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) requirement.
Bidders must meet eligibility criteria for Class-I and Class-II local suppliers as per the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017, issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
